Last night I finally finished the draft of Spark of Truth. The final word count came in at 90,944 which is my longest book ever.

It felt like a long time slogging through the book, but when I stepped back to take a look it was actually really fast. I started outlining the book in June, I started writing it on the 18th of June, and I completed it on the 20th of September. That’s only 3 months and 2 days of actual writing. Considering I lost weeks over the winter to various family members being sick that’s an incredible achievement.

The next step is to get it over to my editor and figure out any big plot holes or things that I missed. I’ll fix those and then we get on with the copy edit and final proof read. Generally this process can be wrapped up in 3-4 weeks, but I will keep everyone posted.

I’m excited, relieved, and nervous all at once. But I can’t wait to get it out and see what everyone thinks.
